The Antelope Valley project links Downtown Lincoln, the University campus, the Haymarket, and Union Plaza Park with major trails and bike routes used by thousands of Lincoln’s residents every day. To further enhance access to and enjoyment of trails activities, a new building is planned at the new festival plaza and amphitheater in Union Plaza Park.

The building will provide space for restrooms, a sheltered meeting area and spaces furnished for lounging and social gathering. It is a natural point for distribution of trails and visitor information. Space for shops, refreshments, concessions, retail, bicycle repair/rental, and other uses will be developed with private businesses.

GPTN has committed to raise $250,000 for this multi-use project. Construction is expected as early as 2010. With your help we can jointly provide a focal point for our trail system, a place to promote a healthier more sustainable lifestyle for Lincoln, and a relaxing place to meet friends and enjoy the many activities our trail system and Lincoln center provides.
